RiverMead Fitness Specialist

RiverMead is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Carol Leger, full-time fitness specialist available for all independent living residents of RiverMead. Carol is a certified health coach, fitness trainer and instructor, trained and certified through the Athletic & Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and the American Council on Exercise (ACE), accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). Carol will be responsible for implementing the fitness and wellness programs at RiverMead. This includes training in the fitness center, leading group classes including the aquatics classes and working to create a robust fitness program that welcomes every aspect of wellness.

Carol has been practicing in the fitness industry since 1989 and draws from specialized training and experience to support middle age and aging adults who want to learn and practice self-care for health and fitness. She has a special interest in those who struggle with health and physical limitations and finding ways to support those folks to remain active.

She is a member of American Diabetes Association (ADA) and American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) and a member Greater Peterborough Chamber of Commerce.

Carol lives in Peterborough with her husband and two young adult children. Her philosophy is simple – “I love family, food, fitness and helping people! I believe that staying active, mindful and nourished can be the difference between surviving and thriving.”

 

 

Ann Nunn smAnn E. Nunn, RN, MHA, NHA - RiverMead’s Health Services Administrator

RiverMead, a full-service LifeCare Retirement Community in Peterborough, NH is pleased to announce that Ann E. Nunn, RN, MHA, NHA from Fitzwilliam, NH will be RiverMead’s Health Services Administrator.

Ann will be in charge of coordinating all clinical aspects for RiverMead’s Health Center, which consists of 49 Assisted Living suites, a 17 private room Memory Care wing and a 33 private room skilled nursing floor.

Ann holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas and a Masters in Healthcare Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina. Ann previously served the last 15 years as the administrator for Good Shepherd Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Jaffrey. In addition to other nursing administrator responsibilities in New Hampshire, Ann has been a Director of Nursing and Administrator of a hospital based nursing center as well as the Director of Emergency/Trauma Department for the same organization. Ann has received Bronze and Silver Quality awards from the American Healthcare Association and was chosen as “Administrator of the Year” in 2000 for the New England Region.
